Definition.  The habirs are an advanced group of souls, sometimes called wisdom beings, whose job it is to guide all the plants and plant-related life on planet earth.

The name habirs is related to our words habitat, habitation, rehabilitate and even the word habit.  The root word relates to the idea of a location or situation that is relatively fixed and unmovable.  The word habirs is pronounced with the emphasis on the second syllable.

WHAT DO THE HABIRS DO?

Their job is to oversee the health of the plant world.  They also supervise and guide the elves.  These are small creatures that take care of individual plants of all types around the world.  This is an enormous job because there are trillions upon trillions of plants on earth.

WHY ARE THE HABIRS AND ELVES NECESSARY?

You may think that the plants just grow by themselves, finding the nutrients and water that they need by themselves.  However, this is not the case.  They need quite a lot of help, at times, to find suitable soil in which to set down their roots, and to find enough water to survive.

For this, the elves are needed.  The elves do much more than this, keeping plant diseases away, and keeping predator animals away who would eat the plants.  They even try to keep human beings away who would damage the plants.  They also encourage gardeners to cultivate and feed the plants what they need.

HOW LONG HAVE THE HABIRS BEEN HELPING THE PLANTS?

For thousands of years upon planet earth.  They arrive soon after a planet begins to be able to support plant life.  They will remain long after most of us have died, to continue to supervise the elves and maintain the plant life on earth.
