COMING ALIVE PATTERN

Definition.  This pattern is said to be present on a retest mineral analysis whenever the levels of all four of the macrominerals – calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium - rise on a retest.  It is also present, to a lesser degree, when 1, 2 or 3 macrominerals increase on a retest, providing the other macrominerals remain the same as on the previous test.

Coming alive pattern indicates more energy, in general, and an awakening or significant enhancement of the adaptive energy of a person.

It is considered a positive change pattern on a retest.  Often, the client reports feeling more energetic, and symptoms of fatigue and exhaustion, and perhaps depression, may improve.

SETTLING DOWN PATTERN

This pattern is present on a retest hair mineral analysis whenever the levels of all four of the macrominerals – calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium – decrease on a retest.  It is also present, to a lesser degree, when 1, 2 or 3 macrominerals decrease on a retest, provided the other macrominerals remain the same as on the previous test.

This pattern indicates a relaxation of the body in a curious way.  It is as though the person settles in for the long haul, and is more stable in his or her health.  Often, with this pattern in the macrominerals, there is an elimination in progress of the amigos (iron, manganese, aluminum, nickel, chromium, for example), or in some other toxic metals such as copper or cadmium.

Settling down pattern is considered a very positive health indicator.

Variants.  These include:

1. The pattern can be mild or more extreme.  It is mild if the mineral levels decrease just a little.  The pattern is more dramatic if the numbers all decrease significantly.  Both are excellent.

Super Settling.  The definition of this pattern is when all four macrominerals decrease 50% or more on a retest mineral analysis.  It is more intense than just a settling down pattern.

2. Double settling down is a settling down pattern on the first four macrominerals, and a settling down on the second four minerals on an ARL chart (iron, copper, manganese and zinc).

3. One can settle down into four lows.  This is usually a healing four lows pattern, and very good.

4. The first three macrominerals can decrease or remain the same, while the fourth, potassium, increases.  This is often a settling down pattern combined with an elimination of toxic potassium.

5. Calcium, sodium and potassium decrease while magnesium increases.  This may be a settling down pattern along with the return of a controller, a type of guide creature.  The creature then helps the body remove less desirable magnesium, causing a rise in the magnesium level.

THE UP ELEVATOR PATTERN

Definition.  The pattern is present on a retest mineral analysis when the levels of all four of the macrominerals - calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium – rise about the same amount.

This means that the ratios between the macrominerals remain about the same on the retest.  The oxidation rate does not change much, and the Ca/Mg, Ca/K, Na/K and Na/Mg ratios remain about the same.

Fast up elevator. If the levels of all four of the macrominerals triple or increase more than 3 times, this variant is called a fast up elevator.

The name.  The pattern is named the up elevator pattern because it appears that the macrominerals have all gone straight up like an elevator, without significantly altering the ratios or relationships between the minerals.  In other words, the levels of the macrominerals have increased quite significantly, but the ratios between them remain the same, or close to the same.

Meaning of the pattern.  A clue to the meaning of the up elevator pattern is that it includes a coming alive pattern.  However, up elevator pattern is more specific and more dramatic, in some cases.

Up elevator pattern indicates:

1. Coming alive.  This means a brighter aura and a more alive body.

2. A consistency or evenness.

3. Lifestyle, oxidation rate and stress level remain similar.

4. Usually, the person does not experience intense healing reactions.

5. Tipoff that the person is not doing the pushing down exercise.

6. Tipoff that the person is not resting enough because he or she does not want to rest more, rather than because one cannot fall asleep or cannot remain asleep.

This lack of rest is, at times, the reason the person is not able to do the pushing down exercise.  ÒPushing down is beyond sleep.Ó  This Tibetan phrase means that if you donÕt take the trouble to rest enough, you will not be able to do the pushing down exercise for long because you will fall asleep.

7. There is often some change in subtle energy body or field #8.  However, there is not much change in the subtle energy fields or subtle bodies 1 through 7.

Change in the latter bodies requires the pushing down exercise.

8. A need to do more of the program, especially resting more and pushing down more.  We sometimes call this the need to work into the program more.

DOWN ELEVATOR PATTERN

This somewhat uncommon retest pattern is the opposite of the up elevator pattern.

Definition.  The pattern is present on a retest mineral analysis when the levels of all four macrominerals decrease about the same amount.

As a result, the ratios between the macrominerals are about the same as before.  This means the oxidation rate does not change much, and the Ca/K, Ca/Mg, Na/K and Na/Mg ratios remain about the same.

This pattern is similar in meaning to the settling down pattern, except that it indicates a very even and gentle type of settling down, with little effect on the oxidation rate or major ratios.

Meaning.  In most cases, the meaning is that the person settled down, but is not doing the pushing down exercise.

UP, DOWN ELEVATOR

Definition. On a retest, the calcium and magnesium levels rise, while the sodium and potassium levels fall, and the Ca/Mg ratio and the Na/K ratio remain about the same.

Meaning.  This is a slowing of the oxidation rate, and it also means that the person is not doing the pushing down exercise.

DOWN, UP ELEVATOR

Definition. On a retest, the calcium and magnesium levels fall, while the sodium and potassium levels rise, and the Ca/Mg ratio and the Na/K ratio remain about the same.

Meaning.  This is a speeding up of the oxidation rate, and it also means that the person is not doing the pushing down exercise.

Importance of all elevator patterns.  The main importance of all the elevator patterns is that the practitioner needs to know that this client is not doing the pushing down exercise nearly enough.  This can greatly slow progress on a nutritional balancing program.
