POIS consists of symptoms of weakness and malaise that occurs after orgasm and lasts several hours to several days.  Physical symptoms often include fatigue, allergies, and possibly flu-like symptoms.  Mental/emotional symptoms include cognitive dysfunction, brain fog, anxiety, depression, irritability or others.

Doctors speculate on the cause of POIS.  The cause may be different in some cases, and may involve low hormones such as progesterone, allergic phenomena, or even an autoimmune reaction to sexual fluids.

SEVERAL OTHER POSSIBLE REASONS FOR POIS

Two other possible reasons for POIS are:

            1. Adrenal exhaustion, perhaps with an autonomic nervous system imbalance.  This could cause fatigue, allergies, and brain fog, among other symptoms that sound like POIS.

2. A need to retain sexual fluids.  Some people seem to need to retain sexual fluid more than others.  This may be due to nutritional deficiencies, or perhaps for other reasons such as to promote mental development.  POIS could be a type of signaling mechanism indicating that a person needs to learn to retain their sexual fluids.

3. Other nutritional imbalances.  I do not have enough experience with POIS yet to be more specific.  However, many of the symptoms could be related to various toxic metals and nutrient deficiencies.

WHAT TO DO

We suggest a complete nutritional balancing program.  The end result – development – usually helps this syndrome.  It requires at least several years on a complete program, and correction will go faster if one adds the Accelerators.
