I. INTRODUCTION

DEFINITION

When one follows the development program carefully for at least 5 or 6 years, one can go through a type of healing process in which one feels one is falling. This feeling is important because we believe it is an excellent sign of progress.

Explanation. We believe this reaction is a powerful release of a basic need for control in one's life. One could say it is a release of a part of the ego self, lower self, or false self. We also believe it is a type of spiritual purification reaction that occurs as one turns one's life over to God or higher power.

It may not be too difficult to get through. However, in some cases it can be difficult and it could cause a person to stop the development program or do less of it.

There are also another feeling that can occur that may be related to a feeling of falling. We discuss this at the end of this article.

II. CASES

1. Dara. Dara is 63 years old. She has been following the development program for about 12 years. Her body is very sensitive and she has had plenty of trauma and illness.

Her body reacts very strongly to some of the procedures, so she does not do all the basic healing procedures. However, she keeps trying them and does her best. She eats very well, takes her supplements, does the pulling down procedure every day, and does foot and hand reflexology daily.

She also works on herself in other ways to release the past and she gets professional help with this. She has done this for years.

Falling. She reports that when she uses a reddish heat lamp or does coffee enemas, she experiences a very unpleasant feeling that she is falling. It does not remind her of any particular trauma, but it is severe. It is mainly a mental feeling, although it can feel like physical falling, as well. It is very intense, enough that it stops her from doing these procedures and it slows her progress.

2. Aaron. Aaron is 73 years old. He has been on the development program for about 40 years. He experienced a lot of trauma and illness earlier in his life and during childhood.

He is quite careful about following the development program. In addition to eating quite well, he does one to four coffee enemas daily, the reddish heat lamp procedure, the supplements, the pulling down procedure, spinal twists daily and foot and hand reflexology.

Falling. When Aaron had been on the development program for about 15 years, he reported an episode of a powerful feeling of falling. It just started one day and did not remind him of any particular trauma.

He described it as though he was on a water slide. This is an amusement park device. One sits on a fiberglass slide and slides down the slide. Water runs down the slide to lubricate it and one can slide quite fast.

In this case, anything Aaron tried to do to slow down his fall on the slide seemed to make him fall faster. This was very unnerving! The episode went on for a few days. Then it subsided and has not returned.

3. Juanita. Juanita is 71 years old. She has followed the development program fairly well for six years. She does most of the program and was feeling well.

Falling. Recently she went through the healing reaction in which she felt she was falling. It was quite severe and she decided to check into a mental hospital for about a week to rest. The feeling of falling lasted a few days and then subsided. Then she came home and is continuing all of her development program.

This case is interesting because Juanita did a hair mineral test right after the reaction occurred. It was an excellent test and showed a standard surge, right and left pivots, a large detoxification (12 minerals coming out), six anchor patterns (brain healing), an elimination of toxic potassium, a coming alive pattern a hill pattern and two goalpost patterns. This many positive patterns is unusual on one test!

III. WHAT TO DO IF THIS REACTION OCCURS

1. Know about this reaction and do not fear it, although it is unpleasant and may feel frightening – as though one is out of control.

2. It helps to turn one's life over to God and to relax as much as possible. These will help the feeling to move through and pass as quickly as possible.

3. Doing more procedures may or may not help. In the cases above, doing extra procedures seemed to intensify the reaction, meaning made one feel even more like one is falling.

4. Another possibility is visiting physicians or a counselor. One of our clients decided to visit a mental hospital and fortunately was allowed to just rest and not put on drugs. We do not think drugs are needed or helpful.

IV. A VARIANT

1. Energy moving up. A few clients report a different, but also unpleasant feeling that may be related to the feeling of falling. It is a feeling of energy moving sharply upward through the body. This can cause a feeling of congestion in the stomach, lungs and perhaps the head. It may slightly impair eating and breathing.

This feeling may, at least in part, be a reaction to a feeling of falling. We need more research about it. We wrote a short article about this feeling, Up Syndrome.
