Definition. Bromine is a toxic mineral that damages the body in many ways. In particular, it displaces iodine. By so doing, it causes thyroid damag, a pervasive problem in America and around the world. A major symptom of bromine toxicity is fatigue and hypothyroidism. Displacing iodine may also contribute to cancer and dozens of other disease.
Permitted in foods and water. While there has been progress to remove toxic minerals from the food and water supplies of the world, bromine is still added to soft drinks, bread, and packaged juices. It is also used as a sanitizer for hot tubs and swimming pools.
A hidden danger in drinking soft drinks or soda pop, especially those with a citrus flavor such as colas, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, many sports drinks, Sprite and others is the addition of brominated vegetable oil to these drinks. This is a very toxic food additive that should be banned. It is banned in over 100 nations, but not America. It can cause a wide variety of symptoms including the following:
Cyanosis (skin blueness)
Heart beat malfunction
Tremors of the tongue and eyelids
TOXIC BROMINE ALSO FOUND IN COMMERCIAL BAKED PRODUCTS
Commercial bread often contains bromine used as a yeast food. This is another common source of this toxic substance. It is just one reason to avoid eating bread, especially commercially-manufactured breads and mass-produced baked goods of all kinds.
SANITIZER IN POOLS AND HOT TUBS
One of the main sources of exposure to bromine and bromides is in pools and hot tubs. Bromine is used, at times, in conjunction with chlorine or instead of chlorine as a sanitizer in pools and hot tubs. For this reason, among others, I would avoid swimming pools and hot tubs. If you must use one, be sure to shower afterwards to reduce the amount of bromine that remains on your skin.
The other important reason to avoid pools and hot tubs is the presence of pathogenic germs that are very difficult to kill, even with the use of sanitizers. These are in most pools and hot tubs, unless you are the only person who uses it. The worst, by far, are public pools and hot tubs that are used by many people. However, even private pools and hot tubs are breeding grounds for viruses, bacteria and even some parasites.
