INTRODUCTION

This is one of the most basic questions to ask yourself.  Below are some answers.

LIFE IS SOUL EXPERIENCES

This is our current understanding of what human life is about.  Human beings are animated by souls.  ÒYouÓ are a committee of souls.  They are the conscious part of ourselves.

Human life is about experiences of souls who are learning and maturing through lifeÕs experiences.  This understanding helps a lot to explain many things, such as why the body might become ill or experience a trauma.

You might say that your souls have their agenda and souls are not particularly hurt by disease, trauma or even death of the body.  To the souls, all the above are just learning experiences.

OTHER IDEAS OF WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT

LIFE IS WHATEVER YOU DECIDE IT IS

This is a very ancient.  It means each of us chooses what our life will be for.  One may choose to see life as a drama, or an adventure, or a mystery, or a comedy or maybe a vacation or a tragedy.

This understanding of life is very empowering because it means that the meaning of life is never imposed upon one.  It also means that if you donÕt like the meaning you have given your life, you can change it at any time.

LIFE IS ABOUT EXTENDING LOVE

Another ancient teaching is that each of us is an extension of GodÕs love into this world of form.  The purpose of life is to radiate this love into the world, to provide content to this world of form.

This is not too different from the purposes of life given in the New Testament – to love God and love others.

LIFE IS ABOUT DEVELOPMENT

On this website, development means the growth of the subtle energy field that surrounds every living being.  Development brings excellent health, long life and the unfolding of various abilities.

Development is a specific, genetically determined process that rarely occurs today.  However, we believe it is your birthright and it is the fulfillment of a personÕs greatest human potential.

Development does not occur often today because those who control the planet do not want it taught, and it requires a specific nutritional regimen and a healing lifestyle.

LIFE IS ABOUT GRACE

Grace is the unearned love of God for us.  It is real, and it is all around you.

THREE PURPOSES OF LIFE

According to another ancient teaching, the true purposes of the physical life are:

1. To undo mistakes we have made in the past.

2. To do good works and help people.

3. To enjoy friends.

THE BODY IS A COMMUNICATION DEVICE

This idea is from the tapes by Mark Hammer sold by the Shanti Christo Foundation.  The only question, he suggested, is what do you want to communicate with your life?

INCREASING AWARENESS

Some would say that life is all about increasing your awareness.  As one does this, life becomes easier because you will make much better decisions.

POPULAR NEGATIVE VIEWS ABOUT THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

LIFE IS STUPID AND MEANINGLESS

This is a common belief today promoted by the rogues.  It even has a fancy name, existentialism.  It is subtly taught in schools, in the movies, and in the news and entertainment media.

For example, news agencies often report acts of random violence, even though they are statistically rare.  As I watch or listen to the news, I often joke to myself, ÒThey really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find that horror storyÓ.

Many people today cannot think clearly due to nutritional deficiencies and toxic metals in their bodies, so life can seem meaningless for this reason.  The answer is to Get A Brain.

LIFE IS HOPELESS

This is also widely taught today.  For example, some in government and elsewhere teach that if global warming doesnÕt kill you, then pollution or something else will.

LIFE IS ABOUT VICTIMHOOD AND WE ARE ALL VICTIMS

This is the rallying cry of the Democrat Party in America and socialist political parties in other nations.  It is a tempting theme because it gives people an excuse to do nothing, to be lazy and angry, and to hate lots of people who are ÒvictimizingÓ them.

LIFE IS ABOUT STRUGGLE and CONFLICT

This is a common theme in many college classes today.  For example, in economics one learns about Marxism.  Marx believed that life is a struggle between the owners of factories and the workers.

Others believe that life is a struggle between good and evil, or God and satan.

Conventional medicine believes that life is a war with disease, old age and death.  (On this website, we believe that one needs to eat and live properly, and then disease is not much of a problem, in most cases.)

LIFE IS ABOUT KARMA

A Buddhist perspective is that life is about working off your negative ÒblemishesÓ or karma, as it is called in the Sanskrit language.  It is also about not causing any more karma by not harming others.
