KIDNEY GLANDULAR PRODUCTS (SUCH AS RENAMIDE) AND THEIR USE

DEFINITION

Kidney glandular products usually contain freeze-dried bovine kidney. They may also contain other substances to support kidney activity such as vitamin C, carbamide, or herbs such as uva ursi. They can be excellent nutritional supplements to assist kidney activity if they are well-made.

BEWARE – AT THIS TIME, MOST KIDNEY SUPPORT PRODUCTS ARE TOXIC BECAUSE MANY HERBS ARE TOXIC. DO NOT USE THEM.

Renamide is a formula to support the kidneys distributed by Endomet Laboratories in Phoenix, Arizona.

WARNING. We endorsed this product until March of 2026. Then the company changed the formula and began using a capsule made of hypromellose. Both the new formula and the capsule are now somewhat toxic and we no longer recommend this product.

We are looking for substitutes at this time.

OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT KIDNEY GLANDULAR PRODUCTS

Quality kidney support products can work in the following ways:

1. General support for the kidneys, which are major detoxification organs of the body. More specifically, when mercury, cadmium, nickel or lead are elevated, these metals often accumulate and congest the kidneys. Taking Renamide or kidney glandular can help speed the removal of these metals for this reason.

2. Support of the “kidney chi”, which is known in Chinese medicine to be the seat or reservoir of the chi or vital force of the body. This is related to the adrenal glands, but is not entirely about the adrenals, and includes the kidneys as well. This is similar to the stress theory of disease, and it is why adrenal glandular is often helpful as well as kidney support.

3. Helpful for many cases of high blood pressure. Often congestion of the kidneys plays a significant role in hypertension or high blood pressure.

4. Helpful for other symptoms ranging from mid and lower back pain, edema or swelling of the ankles or legs, renal failure, bladder and kidney infections, and perhaps for other conditions related to the kidneys.

DOSAGE

If a kidney support product contains about 100 mg of freeze-dried kidney glandular, a standard dosage for adults is about one or two tablets with each meal.

In cases of severe renal disease, the dosage may temporarily be increased to up to 5 three times daily.

PILLS VERSUS CAPSULES

Capsules are fine if they are made out of gelatin. Hypromellose is a newer semi-synthetic material that is somewhat toxic. Stay away!

Tablets often contain some magnesium stearate and other binders and fillers. These can be okay if the product is well-made. We can check products if one is not sure.
