Definition. Respiratory conditions include all those health conditions that have to do with the lungs, bronchial tubes, nose, and breathing.
These include pneumonias, bronchitis, sinus difficulties, coughs, sore throats, tonsillitis, post-nasal drip, asthma, emphysema, bronchiectasis and others.
Here are some of the other common respiratory conditions:
Sinus problems are almost universal in America and in many other nations as well. Often, a chronic sinus infection is present to some degree, at least. Usually, it is a fungal infection. Secondary bacterial infections that co-exist with the fungal one may respond to antibiotics, but the fungal infection will not respond and remains, becoming chronic.
Causes. The causes for this are sugars in the diet, a generally yin condition of the body, and the fact that the sinuses are a very yin part of the body. This means expanded and ‘empty’ in macrobiotic terms. Also, circulation here is poor and there is often waste matter for fungal organisms to live on present.
Shallow breathing, living in polluted air, sharing air with others who are infected such as in airplanes and theatres, are other factors that may cause sinus problems.
Symptoms may be few, or one may have post-nasal drip, snoring, swelling of the nose and parts of the face, headaches, and pain in the area.
Correction. Dealing with chronic sinus problems is often easy with a nutritional balancing program if a person will use a near infrared lamp sauna once or better, twice daily. One sits in the sauna with the lamps shining on the abdomen and chest.
Also, one can place one’s forehead and facial area close to the near infrared heat lamps to focus more infrared energy on the sinus area. The energy will penetrate through the skull to some degree. However, never focus the lamps anywhere on the head for more than five to ten minutes at one session. Wait at least an hour before doing this again.
Effects of the sauna. The sauna weakens the infection because:
1. Fungal infections tend to be ‘cold’ in nature and do not do as well in the heat.
2. The sauna improves circulation to the area, which is very important with sinus infections.
3. The near infrared frequencies seem to have healing effects.
Beware, however, chronic infections may turn acute as they heal, causing a flare up of symptoms for a short time.
Other nutritional balancing methods. These are:
1. Rub the sinus reflex areas on the toes of both feet, no matter which side the infection is on. Look on a map of the foot reflexes to locate these reflexes. They are on the tips of all the toes, I believe. Do this 4 to 6 times daily for about 1 minute each time. This is quite powerful if you find the right points. They will be somewhat tender or painful.
2. At times, sniffing colloidal silver and taking it orally, too, is very good. This explained below in the section about pneumonias.
3. At times, extra vitamin A is also helpful. It strengthens mucus membranes, which includes the lining of the sinus cavities.
4. Some chronic sinus conditions will not respond well until the entire body chemistry is balanced and strengthened. This may take several months to a year or more in some cases.
This is very common in children, particularly. The tonsils are lymph glands that help prevent the spread of infection from the sinus area and ears, perhaps, down the neck and into the rest of the body.
In most children, allergies to dairy products, other food allergies, imbalanced body chemistry, fatigue and stress are major factors that can contribute to tonsillitis and a generally impaired immune response.
Nutritional balancing can usually stop tonsillitis rapidly and easily. Antibiotics are rarely needed, and unfortunately add to the child’s toxicity level. Tonsillitis is usually not a fatal or even extremely serious condition.
Tonsil removal. Removal of the tonsils is not a wise idea and can usually be avoided easily if doctors would carefully work with a child’s diet, drinking water, lifestyle habits, eating habits and correct the balance of the minerals at a cellular level. This is the essence of the nutritional balancing approach.
PENUMONIAS AND BRONCHITIS
Pneumonia is an infection of the lung tissue. There are many types due to bacteria, viruses, fungi, chemical irritants, chest trauma and even parasitic infections.
Viral and bacterial pneumonias must be treated aggressively because they can and do cause death if they are not attended to. The lungs can fill up with fluid, and the person literally drowns. This can happen quickly, in a matter of days or even hours in some cases. So pneumonia should never be ignored. At times, medical treatment with oxygen and antibiotics may be needed. However, less toxic natural methods can work very well, even if antibiotics and other drugs are not working well.
A complete nutritional balancing program is excellent for chronic cases of pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus conditions and most respiratory conditions. For acute cases, natural remedies should be used first. One excellent remedy is a high quality colloidal silver.
In this case, it can be taken both orally and inhaled to reach the lungs and bronchials directly. It can also be sniffed up the nose to reach the sinuses. Do not mix it with water. Just put some in a spray bottle to inhale it.
The quality of the silver product is important. I do not recommend a home-made colloidal silver as the quality control is not there. I prefer Arabesque brand, but there are many other good ones. In most cases, a lower potency product with less than 50 parts per million silver works well. Adults must take at least two or three tablespoons daily orally. It should be taken 20 minutes away from any food or beverages on either side of the dose of silver, as this can enhance the absorption of the silver. A little colloidal silver should also be placed in a spray bottle and inhaled several times a day for bronchitis or pneumonias. A little can be placed in the palm of the hand and sniffed up the nose for all sinus and rhinitis conditions.
Other excellent remedies include high-dose vitamin A, vitamin C, bee propolis and shining a single red heat lamp on the chest, particularly the thymus gland area for 10-15 minutes at a time, several times daily. The lamp may also be shined on the back for 10-15 minutes several times daily. Coffee enemas and near infrared sauna therapy can also be helpful, as can foot reflexology. These are safe, simple and inexpensive approaches that can keep a respiratory infection from spreading and becoming a health emergency. These measures can be started immediately as soon as one feels unwell, starts coughing or runs a fever or feels congested in the chest.
If you are not getting better, always consult a health professional.
This is a degenerative lung condition in which the delicate alveoli or air sacs of the lungs break down, reducing the amount of air that a person can safely inhale. This also reduces the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide transfer that can take place in the lungs. It can be a fatal condition if left untreated, depending upon its cause.
Common causes are smoking anything, occupational exposure to gases and smoke, as occurred with fire fighters, at times, for example. Even breathing metal fumes or dusts can lead to the condition.
The response of this condition will depend upon its cause. However, many cases will respond to nutritional balancing if we can detoxify the body and remove enough of the offending chemical or metal. Most people with this condition are also severely malnourished and toxic, generally. As these situations are corrected, the body can often heal the lung tissue if the condition has not progressed too far. Often, there is also some chronic infection present that may need to be healed as well. The use of the near infrared sauna may be extremely helpful to improve circulation to the area and promote healing of the lungs.
CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE OR COPD
This is a common respiratory condition that usually occurs only in people who smoke cigarettes or have been exposed to other lung irritants.
Symptoms. These mainly include difficulty breathing that is often progressive, and may result in death. Along with this, the body becomes starved for oxygen, which can affect general health and make one more prone to other chronic degenerative health conditions.
Correction. According to medical sources, there is no cure for COPD. However, a complete nutritional balancing program often improves the symptoms of COPD, and may get rid of them completely.
This occurs because the nutritional balancing program, when set up correctly:
1. Removes toxins in the lungs and bronchial tubes.
2. Improves the immune response and eliminates chronic infections in the lungs and bronchials that can contribute to the problem.
