What is development? Development is the unfolding of the full genetic and physical potential of a human being. It is nothing short of amazing. Numerous articles on this website discuss it. A place to begin if you are not familiar with it is Introduction To Development.
Women tend to develop slower than men. This seems to be due to their anatomy, physiology and other factors we discuss in this article.
A lot about “pulling down”. You will hear these words many times in this article. They refer to the pulling down mental exercise, which is essential for development. If you are not familiar with this exercise, read The Pulling Down Exercise on this website.
UNDERSTANDING OURSELVES BETTER
This article has another important purpose. It can help women understand ourselves better. A number of the ideas in the article are not well known, and can help explain things you feel every day.
You will see that women are built very differently from men and need to take this into account in order to develop rapidly.
II. AN HONOR, A PRIVILEGE AND A JOY – GIVING BIRTH WHEN YOU ARE DEVELOPED
The possibility of development gives women a unique and wonderful opportunity. They can have amazing babies.
These babies are much healthier, stronger, happier and smarter because they are born somewhat developed. This occurs automatically when the mother is somewhat developed.
Also, development continues in these babies more easily and quickly.
Also, more advanced souls tend to enter these baby’s bodies. These souls prefer developed and healthier bodies and are given priority, to a degree. These babies then grow up to become wonderful and powerful leaders in every area of human endeavor. Bearing and raising such a child is a great joy and honor.
Development also makes the mother healthier, wiser, more relaxed and more stable emotionally. Development also tends to help improve a woman’s marriage. All these factors further assist her children to be strong, healthy and wise, starting from the day of conception.
Pregnancy. In addition, development tends to make a woman’s pregnancy easier and safer. This is because she is much healthier. Also, developed babies tend to be smaller (more compact and more yang), so labor and delivery tend to be less traumatic and safer, as well. The only factor that can offset this is the baby’s brain is often much better developed at birth, making the head a little larger.
1. PHYSICAL OR ANATOMICAL REASONS
MISSING CRITICAL WOMEN’S NUTRIENTS
A mineral that is particularly important for women’s development and her spirituality is iodine. It is very often deficient in women, and this slows their development.
Unfortunately, we are surrounded by iodine antagonists. These are chlorine, bromine and fluorine. Also, iodine is no longer added to bread. This combination of problems results in almost universal deficiency of this mineral. While iodine deficiency also affects men, it is less important for men. For details, read Iodine.
WOMEN GENERALLY HAVE WEAKER PROTEIN MATRICES IN THEIR BONES THAN MEN
Development has a lot to do with the bones. A strong protein matrix in the bones is very helpful to speed development. However, this is an area of weakness for all women, even young women. The causes are:
1. Lower vitamin D levels than men. This occurs mainly because the fat layer in women’s skin blocks some of sunlight and this reduces the production of vitamin D in the skin.
2. Lower zinc level than men. Lower zinc, in turn, is due to:
A. Women’s hormonal makeup, which favors copper over zinc. The copper level in a body tends to correlate with the estrogen level. More copper tends to antagonize or reduce zinc in the body.
B. Women’s diets. These tend to be more vegetarian-oriented than those of men for at least two reasons:
i) Women often find meat makes their bodies and their bowel movements much more smelly, so they want less of it. Women tend to have a more developed sense of smell than most men.
ii) In most instances, women have a slower oxidation rate than men. This can reduce their desire for meat, especially fatty meat, because it feels heavy in the stomach.
Solution. Avoid vegetarian-leaning diets like the plague! Have your red meat twice a week and have at least one 4-5 ounce portion of animal protein every day.
A development program will supply the other nutrients needed to keep your bones strong.
MORE CHEMICAL TOXICITY THAN MEN
Women’s bodies contain more toxic metals than those of men, in general. In particular, they have more copper and cadmium, and perhaps iron than men. This gets in the way of the effects of pulling down and slows women’s development.
The reason for the greater toxicity appears to be that women are more sensitive than men and certain toxic metals have adaptive or helpful effects to assist women to cope with the world.
For example, cadmium is a hardener and “plating” mineral. It is used for these purposes in industry. It toughens and hardens a woman so she can live and work in the outer world.
Copper detaches a person from this reality a little bit. This is also adaptive for many women and makes it a little easier to live in the physical world. Other toxic metals that are “hardeners” include nickel, chromium and iron.
Allowing the body to become cold moves energy upward. Women tend to do this much more than men.
- Always wear socks and shoes that keep your feet warm.
- Do not wear dresses that expose your legs or knees to the cold.
- Do not wear sleeveless, short-sleeved, and low cut shirts and blouses that expose your arms, shoulders, neck or upper chest to the cold. Beware if you live in a hot climate that supermarkets and other locations with air conditioning can be quite cold.
- Do not wear thin or sheer clothing that is not warm enough.
WOMEN ARE SHORTER IN HEIGHT
The problem with being short is that one is forced to look upward very often. For example, some signs and other items are set for taller people. Also, when a stranger passes, one must look upward if he is taller than oneself. Looking upward tends to cause subtle energy to move upward.
Also, since they are shorter than most men, most women want to be taller or more “up” than they are naturally. This is also a move in the wrong direction.
Solution. Just be aware of this and remember to always move energy downward.
LESS TO REMIND US TO MOVE ENERGY DOWNWARD
Men have an organ located between their legs that reminds them all day to move energy downward. We are built differently, and do not have this reminder.
Solutions. One can place a small, lightweight object inside the vagina to remind you all day to move downward. This is a very ancient spiritual practice, and not unusual or something to fear. It permits a woman to develop often twice as fast.
To do the procedure requires several weeks of conditioning the vaginal mucosa. It is considered a “rite of passage” for women who wish to develop very quickly. For details, read Faster Development for Women.
Visualize. Another idea is to use the visualizations in the Pulling Down article to move and keep your attention downward such as imagining that there is a magnet under your feet pulling your energy downward all day. Try various visualizations that are in the Pulling Down Exercise article.
Also, you can visualize hugging a friend and pulling down together. Each one helps the other move energy downward. Any person will do for this visualization. This simple method really works.
WOMEN HAVE MORE DIFFICULTY OVERCOMING ADHESIONS
In order to develop, everyone must eliminate adhesions of their tissues. These are tissues that are stuck together. They cause bad posture, and aches and pains in addition to restricting the flow of subtle energy through the body.
Men often have an easier time getting rid of these adhesions than women because overcoming them is mainly done with muscular exertion that is easier for men.
Solution. Women have to work a little harder than some men to loosen up our adhesions. Bodywork such as Rolfing and structural integration can also help.
Beware! Don’t go to a male bodywork practitioner. You have to be in your underwear for these therapies and women get raped. Also, professional body workers can easily spread diseases because they touch almost naked bodies all day. Make sure a practitioner is very clean and washes her hands very often when working.
MANY WOMEN ARE PRONE TO FATIGUE AND DEPRESSION. THEY TRY TO STAY “UP”, AS A RESULT.
Women tend to have a slower oxidation rate, a higher copper level, and often have more traumas than men. This causes fatigue and depression in many women.
Moving subtle energy upward can provide temporary relief because it is somewhat exciting and stimulating. It also occurs naturally. Just being around men, the men give up some energy to the women and causes the woman’s subtle energy to move upward.
Most men and women do not understand how this works, but it quickly becomes an addiction for most women, at least to some degree.
In short, most women are addicted to moving energy upward and to some vampirism from men, and even from other women, at times.
It is an addiction because taking energy from others does not last long and acts like a drug. It slows development because, once addicted to upward-moving energy, moving energy downward can seem utterly wrong and may make a woman feel worse, for a while, because she is deprived of her addiction.
Solution. Realize the trap. You must continue pulling down for a while to get “over the hump. This, plus a development program to renourish the body, is a key to ending depression, boredom, fatigue, apathy and anxiety. For a related topic, read Young Women’s Syndrome.
PELVIC TIGHTNESS AND PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE
More women than men have a constricted pelvic area. One cannot see this with the eye. However, if one feels around the sides of the hips, one may find very tender spots where the tension accumulates.
This tension interferes with moving subtle energy down the body from the head to the feet. For details, read Pelvic Syndrome on this site.
Many more women than men also have pelvic inflammatory disease or PID. This is often a chronic infection or just due to pelvic tension, as explained above. It also restricts the flow of subtle energy through this area of the body. This can reduce the effects of the pulling down exercise.
Solution. Methods to clear these situations include a development program, doing the spinal twist exercises at least twice every day, coffee enemas daily and vaginal coffee implants daily.
MORE BODY FAT
Women’s bodies often have more fat on them than those of men. It is more difficult to move subtle energy through fat than through other types of body tissue.
Solution. A development program will eventually get rid of extra weight. Some women do not want to be thin because they are afraid of looking too sexy. If this is your situation, read the article entitled Women’s Disguises.
Other women do not want to become thin because their breasts become smaller or they think they will be cold all the time. However, it is still worth doing. Dress warmly and be grateful for the extra safety of having small breasts.
WOMEN OFTEN BREATHE IN A MORE SHALLOW WAY THAN MEN
Deep breathing helps development. Women tend to have more shallow breathing than most men due to:
1. Fear. In general, women have a lot more fear than men. This slows development in a number of ways. Among them are that fear causes more shallow breathing.
2. Wearing tight clothes. Some women wear tight clothing such as tight bras and tight belts that interfere with breathing.
3. The flat stomach. Some women do not want their stomach to move in out with the breath, so they restrict their belly breathing.
4. Hiding breasts. Some women restrict breathing into the upper areas of the lungs because they don’t want the inhale to cause their breasts to stick out too far.
5. Don’t want to stand out or be too tall. Some women hunch over, either to hide their breasts or because they don’t want to be too tall. However, hunching over interferes with breathing.
6. Hiding the heart. Some women hunch over to hide their hearts. This is more common than one might imagine.
7. Less muscular. Deep breathing is essentially a muscular activity, and women are generally less muscular and less interested in muscular activities than are men.
8. A collapsed chest. Hunching, hiding the breasts and a “cringing posture” due to fear causes more women than men to have a collapsed chest. This also interferes with deep breathing.
Solutions. Read through the reasons for shallow breathing above, and do your best to stop doing anything that restricts your breathing. Also, practice deep breathing daily. An excellent time to do this is lying in bed or while doing a coffee enema, for example, or while in a sauna.
2. EMOTIONAL AND SEXUAL REASONS
THE EFFECT OF MORE FEAR
Most women have more fear than most men. This is due to women’s relative physical weakness and the danger of abduction and rape. Fear always moves subtle energy upward. Fear also restricts breathing, as explained above.
Solution. Do not take chances that can result in more fear or other problems. For example, do not dress sexy, walk around alone at night or preferably at any time. Also, live a quiet and wholesome lifestyle.
Taking a more spiritual attitude about life also helps some women reduce their fear. Religion itself helps a lot, and the philosophy found in the article and book, The Real Self, can also help.
The basic teaching is that there are only two basic emotions - fear and love. We choose in every moment to be either in fear or in love. Once you realize this deeply, you can make a new choice when you find yourself in fear.
MORE TRAUMA THAN MEN
In general, women are more traumatized than men. This is because girls and women are more sensitive than men and due to sexual molestations. This will slow development.
Solution. Be prepared to forgive and forgive many times when you embark on a development program. The program will retrace the traumas and this is the only solution to the problem. In fact, the pulling down exercise is wonderful for women because it alone quickly brings up and resolves these traumas. This is very freeing for anyone.
3. POWER AND CONTROL REASONS
ATTITUDE – WOMEN MAY BE MORE ANGRY THAN MEN
While some of us hate to admit it, women are often more angry than men. This occurs because we are not treated as well in society.
We are also more emotional creatures than men, and we tend to hold on to our feelings longer than most men. Unfortunately, negative emotions such as anger and fear slow development.
Solutions. Forgive, forgive, and forgive some more. Also, have a clear intent that you do not want to hold on to anger for any reason, ever!
Sadly, many women do not hold this intent. They believe they have a “right” to be angry. Perhaps so, but it just ruins your life, so give it up! For more on this subject, read Anger.
4. SOCIAL REASONS
WOMEN TEND TO BE MORE SOCIAL THAN MOST MEN
As a result, some women are unwilling to spend time alone pulling down, and resting enough to allow development to occur.
Solutions. Realize the extra time required for doing the pulling down exercise is temporary. The first part of development is a big push. It is like sending a rocket into space. You have to get the rocket going. However, once the rocket is in orbit, much less effort is needed to keep it going.
Development is exactly the same. Once you reach about Stage 4 of development, only 15-30 minutes daily is required to keep developing well.
If possible, teach your husband or partner to push down. This helps because it is more social and there is an additional compounding effect when you do it with or even just close by another. You can do it together while sitting, standing, lying down or while slowly walking together.
Another idea is to organize a group to push down together. This also works very well.
MORE ATTRACTIVE ABOVE THE WAIST
Another reason women’s energy is drawn upward and not downward is that most of us are more attractive above the waist. This is where the breasts, the hair and the face are located. This draws our attention upward, and not downward.
Also, many women become frightened when men or even other women look at our fannies or crotch, so we try to move their energy upward, where it feels more comfortable.
Solution. How you dress can help people focus their attention on your head and upper body, and not on the lower body.
GETTING A RESPONSE
Some women like to tease, flirt, “up” or stimulate men a little. It is fun and many men seem to like it. However, it is an upward motion of energy. It is the opposite of moving energy downward, which is required for development.
Also, although you may think it is fine to tease men this way, it is quite dangerous. While some men love it, others resent it. They know it gives you a thrill to have a man drooling nearby, wishing he could take you home for the night. The problem is that a few of these men may grab you and rape you.
Solution. This behavior is a total waste of time and energy, and it is dangerous.
It may seem boring to cover up the skin, hide the pretty hair, and not flash the eyelashes, but this is the answer. It may keep some men away, but that is their loss. The nice ones appreciate that you are not “advertising” as much, and will tend to come around more.
Get on a program. We can attract a mate without showing off. The reason many women are not so attractive is bad health!
The answer is to follow a development program and develop yourself. Just “eating well”, taking random vitamins, running, or yoga will not do the same thing.
Most women who really follow a development program for even a year report looking much better. These women begin to sparkle. It works! Try it!
MEN GO “UP” AROUND WOMEN. WOMEN FEEL IT AND RESPOND IN THE SAME WAY
Another problem women have is that men naturally move their subtle energy upward when they are around women. Women feel this and often move their own subtle energy upward, in response.
It is an empathetic and resonance effect. This just worsens the problem of upward-moving energy for women.
Solution. See the section above this one. Also, learn not to respond to the attention of men by moving your energy upward.
5. EXPRESSIVE REASONS
Across energy is energy that moves between people. To understand this concept, think of the two arms of a Christian cross. One is vertical and the other is horizontal.
One can nourish oneself with subtle energy in two ways. One way is to obtain subtle energy from other people. Here, subtle energy moves “horizontally” from person to person. This is like the horizontal arm of the cross. It is called across energy because it moves across or sideways from one person to another.
The other way to obtain subtle energy is from above, moving the energy downward into your head, down the body, and finally into the earth. This is called vertical movement of energy, and is like the vertical arm of the cross. Moving energy this way is the secret of the power of the pulling down exercise.
Women receive a lot of attention from men. Getting attention from other people is an example of across energy. Unfortunately, this distracts a woman from moving energy downward or vertically from the head to the feet, which is needed for development and excellent health.
Solution. Stay focused on moving energy downward and do not let across energy from others distract you.
6. ENERGETIC REASONS
Women, in general, are more fearful than most men, for the reasons given in the sections above. Fear tends to make most women less honest than most men. This, in turn, slows development, which requires integrity and honesty. Integrity here means the perfect alignment of all aspects of one’s personality.
Some women will debate the idea that men are more honest because the type of men and the aspect of men that most women experience – sexual advances – are often not very honest. In fact, it is a very weak area of honesty for men.
THE DIRECTION OF SPIN OF THE FIRST CENTER
Most women’s first energy center moves inward and upward if one is standing upright.
In contrast, most men’s first energy center moves downward. This energetic fact helps men to move subtle energy downwards, while it hinders women’s efforts to push down.
Solution. This hindrance changes after a woman does the pulling down exercise for a year or two. Until then, there is little to do but focus on doing the exercise.
THE SPIN OF ALL THE ENERGY CENTERS
When women begin the pulling down exercise, often our energy centers spin less correctly than those of most men. This makes it a little more difficult for us to do the pulling down exercise.
Women are born this way because it helps them with having children. It is not due to poor health or psychological problems.
Solution. This corrects itself if one persists with the pulling down exercise, but it takes a few years for this to occur. It is one reason we may start out making slower progress than some men.
A GENERAL TENDENCY TO ATTRACT OR MOVE ENERGY INWARD TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE BODY
To do the pulling down exercise, subtle energy must move downward from the trunk toward the feet. Many women, however, tend to move energy upward from the feet toward the center of the body.
This is an “absorbing” or “attractive” tendency of women that most of them like. However, it interferes with the pulling down exercise.
Solution. Try a mental exercise: Sit comfortably. Imagine a light bulb in the center of your chest that is radiating outward in all directions, but particularly downward toward your feet. See and feel the radiating quality of the energy, like the radiation of the sun’s energy down toward the earth.
This can help you learn to radiate, rather than absorb. It is actually a very powerful spiritual practice.
Women’s anatomy and thinking are more “rounded” than that of men. This makes pulling down more difficult for women.
Men are more “directed” in both their anatomy and their thinking. Directed means aimed in one direction only. Think of the shape of an arrow, a common male symbol. Think also of the shape of the male reproductive organ.
In comparison, woman’s symbol is often a circle or a sphere. These are rounded objects. Women tend to think and feel in many directions at once. Their reproductive organs are also more rounded, such as the uterus.
This affects the pulling down exercise because pulling down is extremely directed. As a result, it is somewhat more natural for men.
Solution. We cannot and don’t want to shift our anatomy or thinking. We just need to know that it may take a little more effort for us to appreciate and practice the pulling down exercise. It actually helps us to be more directed, and this is valuable.
SOUL LOSS AND DIFFICULTY RECOVERING SOULS
Women often experience more soul loss than men because women experience more molestation and rape. For the fastest development, one must recover these souls as quickly as possible.
Men can often recover their souls faster than women. The reason is unusual. The penis and clitoris are helpful for soul recovery. However, the penis is larger, so it recaptures souls more easily.

THE PRONGS AND THE WELLS
Women tend to attract to themselves souls and fine matter particles that attach to the body mainly in two areas – the wells and the vagina. When a woman pushes down, these souls and particles can impede the movement of the subtle energy.
Solution. A woman can keep the wells much cleaner by not spending too much time out in the world. Unless you must go out, remain at home. The same behavior will minimize the problem of receiving prongs. The articles entitled The Prongs and The Wells on this website offer other solutions.
Down hugging and down sex are powerful healing procedures for both men and women. We strongly recommend it if you are married. We don’t understand why it works, but it helps both women and men to develop faster.
It requires a minimum of effort for a woman. In addition, women find it very enjoyable – better than regular sex.
