A very common medical procedure during pregnancy is to use ultrasound to visualize the fetus inside its mother.  While there are a few medical indications for this procedure, often the procedure is done several times during pregnancy just to show the mother what her baby looks like.  In other words, it is done for no good medical reason.

A growing body of research indicates this practice is harmful to the baby!  Please do not have ultrasounds if you are pregnant unless absolutely needed, and then as little as possible.

SYMPTOMS

Exposure to ultrasound is associated with reduced growth rate of fetuses, autism, lower grades in school, childhood cancers and leukemias, and other subtle cellular damage.
