This is a philosophical article about a unifying concept that is part of development science called the love tetra.
The four-sided pyramid. The word tetra means four, and in this instance it is short for tetrahedron. This is a geometric solid with four sides and four corners. It looks like a pyramid that appears triangular when viewed looking at one of its points or corners.
It is the most basic geometric or three-dimensional form in physical reality. In the metaphor of this concept, each of the points or corners of the tetrahedron or tetra represent structures that together create our physical existence or universe.
Relation to the basic minerals of development. In development, special attention is paid to a tetra of minerals – Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium and Potassium. This is related to physical reality, as well, and to this conception, as explained below.
Meaning of the four points or corners of the tetra. In this understanding of physical existence, the four points of the basic tetra of life have the following meanings:
1. The
love of God, the Creator being, or the One.
2. Love
for other people.
3.
Development of the will or self-discipline.
4.
Development of wisdom and knowledge.
This article will help explain what these mean, why they are critical for development, and other details about them.
1. THE LOVE OF GOD, THE CREATOR BEING, OR THE ONE
Geometrically, the love of God is placed at the top of the tetra pyramid. This symbolizes that it has to be the most important thing in a personÕs life.
Proper appreciation of the love of God will keep a person balanced, centered, grounded, and focused properly at all times, or at least most of the time.
The love of God or the One means that a person is aware that there is always a higher power at work. Also, one is aware that he or she is always fully dependent upon this source of life.
One needs to continuously seek to communicate with God or the One in order to live properly and make the right decisions. For details, read Thy Will Be Done and Turning Your Life Over To God, GodÕs Laws and God – How It Works.
If the love of God is weak. If the love of God, or the Creator being, or the One is not strong enough, a person will be egotistical, unbalanced, too physically-oriented, and not well grounded or centered. This is very common in modern Western societies in which traditional religion has declined in popularity and has been replaced by more secular, morally relativistic or new age thinking.
The mineral calcium. In development science, the love of God is represented by calcium, which is the basic structural material of the body. Calcium, in the right amounts and compounds, keeps us balanced, grounded, centered and able to function physically.
If one does not have enough calcium in the bones, oneÕs structure falls apart. One is also less grounded and centered. This is also extremely common today thanks to mineral-deficient food, improper diets, refined and junk food and impaired digestion.
Also, any stress whatsoever tends to cause calcium loss. This is part of the fight-or-flight reaction that occurs during a Rape, for example, or any type of stress.
The sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system causes the fight-or-flight reaction. For details, read Calcium and Understanding Stress.
2. LOVE FOR OTHER PEOPLE
This is also critical to maintain balance in your life, and to keep a healthy focus. To Òlove others as thy selfÓ was one of the admonitions of Jesus, and of many other great teachers such as Confucius (Chinese philosopher who lived from 551-479 BC).
Loving others means giving of yourself to assist others for its own sake, and not just in return for money, or for fame or to be popular. It does not mean to feel sorry for people, however. This gets women in trouble, in particular.
It is a deep recognition that Òwe are all in this togetherÓ, no matter who we are or think we are. Somehow we are all linked together and we must not act as though we are an island or isolated or that everything we touch and everything we do does not affect every other being everywhere.
Loving others must always be tempered by the understanding that there is a higher principle – that of loving God, the Creator or the One. This is necessary to keep the love of others in balance.
Otherwise, one can become too attached to others or become a martyr or an enabler. This means one feeds a bad habit in another person. The term comes from Alcoholics Anonymous. This is an excellent organization except they donÕt teach the importance of proper diet.
Many people Òburn outÓ trying to help everyone. For details, read Adrenal Burnout. Without the love of God at the top of the love tetra pyramid, other aberrations of the principle of service to others also arise. For details, read A Life Of Service.
Learning to love others properly is a most important part of development science. Always realize your oneness with all others on planet earth and beyond. Always ask yourself how you can be of the greatest service to others.
This will keep you motivated to continue your development program. You will also get well much faster, and you will tend to use your newfound knowledge wisely.
In other words, development is designed to make you better able to serve others, and not just yourself. If you only use it to make more money, or just to heal yourself so you can live a selfish life, you will be much less likely to succeed. Also, you have missed an opportunity.
The mineral magnesium. Magnesium is called the bright and shining mineral in development. In part this name is given because magnesium is required for more enzymes than any other mineral, and no other mineral can substitute for it in many of the bodyÕs most critical enzymes.
Magnesium is also a lightweight, flexible metal that burns very brightly when ignited. For example, it is used to make flares and fireworks that can be seen for long distances.
Magnesium is also used to make racing bicycles that are extremely durable, yet very light in weight. Magnesium works with calcium in our bodies, just as the love of God or the One works with the love of others. Both are structural minerals.
Once again, the worldÕs brightest teachers have emphasized the importance of others in our lives, that we are all held together by human relationships, which in fact are our saviors, in a sense, as they give us opportunities to serve and to love. For details, read Magnesium.
3. DEVELOPMENT OF THE WILL
As souls, we are all developing a quality of the soul called the will. It is more than just standing up for what you believe or just disciplining the body or mind. It is a deep and basic quality of the soul that signals its maturing process.
Of all the worldÕs religions, the Hebrew religion is most concerned about this quality. Throughout the Pentateuch, or the five books of the Old Testament of the Bible, the Hebrew people were subjected to wars and persecution.
There was an effort to make them give up their concept of the One God, the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule and the Biblical Dietary Rules that are very important for everyone today.
God told the Hebrew people to just hold on tight to their principles. This is the same as learning to grow your will.
If you are tossed about by your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, ideas or anything else, you have not developed your will. Developing the will means you can set a course and stay with it, even if obstacles present themselves from within you or from without. It means taking charge, in a sense.
However, it must be done properly, keeping in mind that one is not really in charge. There is always a higher power, God, Creator or One that is above us and upon whom we are fully dependent. For details, read The Will and The Will To Survive.
Martyrdom. Developing the will does not mean becoming a martyr, although the martyr personality is certainly a willful one, and often a loving one. However, a martyr does not know when to stop, when to leave a situation, when to go along for the time being.
A martyr also does not know when to let go or when to retreat. This is sometimes needed to save your life or for other reasons such as to save your money, your health, your dignity or reputation.
Being a martyr causes many people to lose their lives, their health, or something else of value such as a marriage or friendship when it is not really needed or helpful because they are too focused on their will to succeed or accomplish some goal.
The problem of goal orientation. The development of the will has to do with setting goals or a course, and then following it. This is admirable, but be careful about worldly teachings about setting goals.
Very often, worldly goals are not really those of the Creator or the One. This means you are not living the love tetra, which begins with loving God first.
Too often, goals are quite selfish. One may use the will to accomplish the goal, and there is value in accomplishing anything. However, if the goal is not in line with our CreatorÕs wishes, you will not be happy when the goal is fulfilled.
Then you will set up a new goal – to make more money or to get a newer house or perhaps a new husband or wife – and the frustrating process continues.
If this happens to you, know that your goals, admirable as they may be, are not aligned well enough with the Will of the Creator or the One or the Holy Spirit. You have, in essence, not kept the tetra in mind well enough. This is your problem.
One answer is to understand another development concept, The Four Steps To Action.
Also, slow down on goals. Try to tune in and hear the still small voice within that is usually telling you to rest, relax more, and live in the present, moment to moment and day to day. If you do this, opportunities will be presented to you, and proper goals will be revealed to you each day and, in fact, each moment of each day.
This will keep you much safer and much healthier. Your real goal, in many cases, is or should be to tune in better to yourself, learn what is important and what is superficial, understand yourself and others better, and treat yourself better, meaning to heal yourself rather than harm yourself with what may be called willfulness.
The mineral sodium and the development of the will. Sodium is a power mineral. Higher sodium on a hair mineral analysis indicates better adrenal and often better thyroid functioning, with more available energy.
Low sodium in the tissues such as the hair is extremely common today. It indicates a loss of power and, at times, low will power. However, by itself it indicates weak adrenal and sometimes weak thyroid gland activity. This is often due to oneÕs diet and lifestyle.
Low sodium, especially in relation to potassium, is associated with a lack of will and personal power. This is the same as victimhood.
Victims never have good willpower, or they would not be victims. They would persist in changing their situation until it changes. For details, read Victimhood.
4. KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM
This is the final corner or leg of the love tetra. The development of wisdom and knowledge is a soul quality, just as are the development of the will, the development of a service mentality, and learning to love the Creator or God.
Knowledge means facts and observations about life. Knowledge can come through the senses, from books, from personal experience, by observing others or from teachers and other guides and mentors.
Wisdom is the skill of knowing how to prioritize knowledge, how to check your knowledge for truth and accuracy, and how to use knowledge correctly to better oneself and others.
Too little or false knowledge is called ignorance. It causes a person to be dull and stupid, out of touch with reality, and rather boring to be around. It often leads to poor quality decisions and an early death. For details, read Ignorance (article still under construction).
Too much knowledge, if not tempered with wisdom, causes arrogance or delusions of grandeur. This is also very dangerous, and causes most of the problems of this world. For details, read Arrogance.
With too little wisdom one does not know what to do with knowledge and learning. It causes depression, confusion, and often mental illness. It is rampant today in our secular society.
Too much wisdom is not a problem, as it really is a kind of knowing or ability to handle whatever comes along.
The mineral potassium and the development of wisdom. Potassium is the fourth vital mineral on a properly designed hair analysis graph. It is another power mineral. It works closely with sodium in the body.
Wisdom and maturity (potassium) requires and is closely tied to self-discipline and willpower (sodium).
The adrenal glands. Both sodium and potassium have to do with the adrenal glands. Sodium has more to do with aldosterone, an emergency adrenal hormone. Potassium has more to do with cortisone, a longer acting adrenal hormone.
For this reason, Dr. Paul Eck called potassium the follow through mineral. Wisdom (potassium) represents power in the body, but it is more subtle and develops slowly in a person.
Toxic potassium. To obtain the correct form of potassium in the body one must eat plenty of cooked vegetables! Potassium pills, bananas and many other foods contain more toxic potassium.
The buildup of toxic potassium in the bodies is actually a very serious environmental problem on earth due to the use of superphosphate or N-P-K fertilizers. For details, read Toxic Potassium.
The development program is one of very few ways to eliminate toxic potassium from the body, and we always rejoice when this occurs in a person.
On a hair mineral analysis retest, the mineral pattern that indicates an elimination of toxic potassium is called a standard surge. It is always associated with maturing in a person!
Death and a solvent. Potassium, among minerals, also represents death or dissolution. An older word for potassium is kalium. It is named after the Hindu goddess Kali, the goddess of dissolution and death.
Potassium, along with sodium, is a solvent mineral. It dissolves or destroys hard compounds in the body and is needed for this purpose. Otherwise, the body calcifies and a person develops arthritis and a Calcium Shell.
A Tibetan expression is that knowledge builds, while wisdom kills. This simply means that wisdom cuts through knowledge and everything else, like a knife, ÒkillingÓ that which is not true or reasonable or prudent. This is a description of a good potassium level on a hair mineral test.
Sympathetic dominance. For example, on a hair mineral analysis, a very low potassium is a sign of an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system we call sympathetic dominance. It is a lack of wisdom that often kills.
A very high potassium on a hair test is another nervous system imbalance associated with a step up pattern, also called stepping out of life. It is also a lack of wisdom, in many cases.
It kills a person quickly with a heart attack or stroke, in many instances, unless we see it and correct it. Millions of people die needlessly due to this mineral pattern.
COMMENTARY ON THE LOVE TETRA OF DEVELOPMENT
1. The reason this works is because all physical forms, including human beings, operate within the tetra concept.
2. Calcium and magnesium (Love of God and love of others) are sedatives, more stable, divalent elements that form tough, hard compounds (think of cement or concrete, or metallic magnesium, which is a very durable, tough metal). Love is the ÒglueÓ of the universe that pulls things and people together and holds them together.
3. Sodium and potassium (will and wisdom) are monovalent elements that are powerful solvents. As stated above, they tend to destroy or dissolve structures of all kinds in order to move souls forward in their development. All four elements are needed together in the right proportions in our bodies, and in all physical forms.
4. Between sodium and potassium, sodium (will) always leads. We call sodium on a hair test a directional indicator. Potassium, or wisdom, comes later and is associated with follow through or knowing.
THE SECOND LOVE TETRA
This tetra consists of iron, copper, manganese and zinc. (this is an example of fractal design, which means simple repeating numbers – 4 in this case).
All of these four elements are called Transition Metals on the periodic table of the elements. This is the theme of the second tetra.
Iron and copper, the first two elements of this tetra, are ÒolderÓ minerals and ÒbuildersÓ. Iron builds the oxygen in the body. Copper builds connective tissue. Both are needed in the electron transport system for energy production.
Manganese and zinc, the second two elements of this tetra, are ÒspiritualÓ minerals in development science. They have less to do with specific tissues and energy production than iron and copper.
Instead, manganese and zinc are regulators, and balancers. They have more to do with the brain and nervous system. They are very important for Development.
We give everyone zinc, which is a critical spiritual mineral today, along with selenium (in the third tetra).
MALE AND FEMALE ELEMENTS IN THE TETRAS
In terms of male and female elements, here is how the tetras line up:
Male |
Calcium |
Iron |
Female |
Magnesium |
Copper |
Female |
Sodium |
Manganese |
Male |
Potassium |
Zinc |
THE THIRD TETRA
This consists of chromium, selenium, boron and vanadium.
OTHER WELL-KNOWN TETRAS
1. DNA. The way genetic information is coded in our genes is through a tetra of amino acids: adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine.
2. RNA. This is also composed of a tetra: adenine, cytosine, guanine and uracil. It is less stable than DNA and used for copying the DNA.
